We have to realize that no one gets to be the way they are in a vacuum and that the backgrounds, events, and choices that shaped their lives and brought them to prison can change by the individual, community education, and action.

Individuals and society must educate themselves to comprehend that crime is merely a symptom of a more profound issue. Until the underlying causes of criminal behavior are addressed, crime will persist as a growing concern within our community.
