Founder

Patricia is experienced in criminal justice and behavioral health professional with more than two decades of service supporting individuals, families, and communities impacted by the justice system. She holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice and is a Certified Addiction Specialist and Paralegal, bringing a rare combination of legal expertise, clinical insight, and real-world experience. For over 20 years, Patricia has worked directly within the criminal justice system as a bail agent and offender advocate, collaborating closely with defendants, judges, court personnel, and judicial agencies. She has conducted countless interviews and substance use assessments and is deeply committed to helping individuals successfully navigate the court system and rebuild their lives. In addition, Patricia has more than 15 years of experience mentoring individuals from diverse backgrounds who are struggling with identity, recovery, and reintegration. Her work is grounded in compassion, accountability, and evidence-based practices that support long-term change.

Education, Training & Expertise

Patricia has taught state-licensure courses on the Criminal Court System, laws relating to bail, principles of criminal culpability, the Colorado Criminal Code, firearms and weapons laws, and seizure procedures. Her extensive professional training includes: Correctional environment operations and supervision, Offender behavior and criminogenic needs, Working with specific offender populations, including sex offenders and female offenders, Aftercare and mentoring for formerly incarcerated individuals, Verbal Judo and advanced communication strategies, Prison safety and hostage survival, Mediation and crisis prevention, Therapeutic resistance and motivational interviewing, Principles of addiction treatment, Infectious diseases and pharmacology and Cultural competency in diverse treatment populations. Patricia specializes in supporting reentry and recovery, helping individuals address criminal thinking patterns, substance use disorders, trauma, and behavioral challenges.
