Mentor/Coach visit on a weekly basis, meeting with individuals and small groups who have signed on to the BPB program. Mentors help individuals imagine new possibilities by sharing their own experience and perspective on the world. They help inmates begin the process of reentry planning, define their goals, and develop the life skills that will be necessary to fulfill those goals. BPB provides the training necessary to familiarize mentors with the criminal justice system.

BPB Floyd is a Non-Profit Organization

Finding a place to live and getting the support needed to maintain safe and secure housing within the community is crucial to successful reentry from prison. Without stable housing, individuals have a much harder time accessing employment, substance abuse treatment, other support services, and making or restoring connections with community resources and positive social networks. Parolees or probationers who are homeless are at a much higher risk of violating conditions of community supervision, and unstable housing is associated with an increased risk of re-arrest. The first month after release is a particularly vulnerable period. The risk of becoming homeless, committing new offenses, violating conditions of release, or relapsing into substance abuse is high.

BPB Floyd provides individuals a safe, structured, supervised environment and related benefits to male reentry citizens' immediately upon release from incarceration. Our program is staffed 24/7 and is a sober living environment. Random drug testing is done on-site.
