We have to realize that no one gets to be the way they are in a vacuum and that the backgrounds, events, and choices that shaped their lives and brought them to prison can change by the individual, community education, and action.

Individuals and society must educate themselves to understand that crime is a symptom of a more significant problem. Until the causes of criminal behavior are addressed, crime will continue to be a growing problem in the community.
